Mr. Timothy Cordero has been involved in public safety since 1989. His career in public safety began in service as a volunteer firefighter at Morningside Volunteer fire department. During his tenure as a firefighter, Timothy rose to the rank of Volunteer Captain and received training related to building safety, first aid, community safety and fire science. After earning his Bachelor’s degree his love for community service and public safety led him to join a major metropolitan law enforcement agency in 1993. He has worked in a variety of assignments since joining the force. He has worked in uniform patrol for seven years as both a patrol officer engaged in active crime fighting, as well as, supervising a patrol squad. During his time as a patrol supervisor, he developed innovative crime fighting strategies and personnel deployments that have proven to be effective in the private security field as well. Timothy has also served as an investigator for eleven years with six years assigned to the homicide unit. He has also been assigned to the Internal Affairs Division where he has conducted and received training in internal/administrative investigations. He is currently assigned as a Commander within the Narcotics Enforcement Division. Timothy has provided security at car dealerships, apartment complexes, race tracks, national retail stores and hotels over the course of his eighteen year law enforcement career.
